Your booking is subject to an excess. This means that if the car is damaged or
stolen, you’d be liable up to the amount of excess. Upon arrival at the counter,
the rental company will require a deposit to be taken through a pre-authorisation
on your credit card to block the funds until the vehicle is returned. If you do not
have a credit card, or sufficient funds on your credit card, it is likely you will have
to purchase the rental company’s excess waiver product before you can hire the
vehicle.
When you return the vehicle in the same condition it was collected in, the rental
company will remove this deposit hold from your credit card.
If there is any damage to the vehicle, the rental company will retain part or all of
your deposit to pay for the damage.
If you have bought insurance through us, you can claim back excess charges from
your insurance policy.
